In the last book, Inchy is quite pleased with being an inchworm. He has just helped to save a creature’s life. He has learned the importance of forgiveness. He’s actually quite pleased with himself. But, alas, he begins to experience “the changing time”. He’s beginning to go into his cocoon state to eventually turn into a moth! (This experience fits in quite nicely with the study of the life cycle, a curriculum requirement for most elementary grade levels) He experiences displeasure at having to change…even anger, until he is brought to his senses by a lovely fairy. The results of accepting his changes, rather than fighting them, are WONDERFUL. And, perhaps he will get to introduce Lilly Louise Ladybug to his Mom and Dad after all!
